Cellist
Cellist Michele Jeglum has taught in the public schools and as a private studio teacher for over twenty years. Michele gave up her public school gig in May of 2015 and currently operates the studio full time, teaching over 30 students from her studio in Fairbanks Alaska. Her students range from age 3 to adult. Michele holds a Master of Music degree from Boston University and a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Montana and is dedicated to the Suzuki method. She is not only a Suzuki cello instructor but also a mother of two Suzuki graduates. She continues to maintain and broaden her Suzuki training at institutes throughout the United States. Michele plays on an unlabeled cello from the late 1700's and a modern instrument made by Robert Brewer Young.
